1Up Arcade, the retro games arcade that for many years kept Morningside locals amused has reopened in Woolloongabba, just months after closing its venue in the eastside suburb.
Occupying the ground floor of another entertainment destination, Woolloongabba's Laserforce, 1UP Arcade is back with more than 140 arcade games, including a dozen new games that weren't available at its old premise.
Games include Space Invaders from 1978, Donkey Kong, Golden Axe, Sega Rally, Shinobi, Wonderboy, Robocop, 4-Player TMNT and Simpsons, Time Crisis, Daytona, Point Blank, Double Dragon, Metal Slug, Galaga, 1942, Raiden, Bubble Bobble, Pac-man, Pong (1972) and a heap of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat titles.
Fun seekers can play any of the games in air conditioned comfort for a fixed all-day price, seven days a week. Prices are $25 weekdays and $30 weekends.*
