Antica Pizzeria

Antica Pizzeria is a slick and stylish pizzeria/restaurant located on the outskirts of Wilston village, serving some of Brisbane's best pizzas and Italian fare to lucky locals.

The capable team behind Antica are a well-oiled machine, having started popular Brisbane food truck Pizzantica some years ago (Australia's first mobile pizza oven on a vintage Kombi) and since then popping up with kitchen takeovers in establishments like Casa Italia (where they gained a sizeable loyal following) and pizza and beer garden The Cedar Social in Ferny Hills.

Antica is their first bricks and mortar restaurant and since opening it's been close to a full house every night, with not just locals but New Farm fans crossing town to get their fix of delectable pizzas, as well as a dedicated vegan menu. 

The chic contemporary open-sided space features European-style dining tables and chairs, ambient lighting and an open kitchen to the rear with the gleaming imported Pavesi Forni Modena pizza oven taking pride of place.

A selection of Antipasti includes Caprese salad, Arancini, zucchini flowers filled with goats cheese, calamari fritti and house special Burrata Gigante (giant burrata cheese with fresh figs, San Daniele prosciutto, walnut and honey - for 4-8 people).

The extensive pizza menu features all of the classic pizzas, including (Rosse) Napoletana, Margherita, Diavola, Calabrese, Salsiccia, Capricciosa, Salamino and Parmigiana and (Bianche) Tartufo, Quattro Formaggi, Stracciatella and Pancetta, as well as Antica Signature long pizza (half tomato, burrata and balsamic pearls and half fig, honey and goats cheese).

Pasta dishes include ricotta & orange ravioli with duck ragu; traditional spaghetti bolognese; mixed seafood linguine with napoli sauce, garlic, chilli, white wine & parsley and must-try Moreton Bay Bug linguine. And for Secondi there's Saltimbocco di Pollo.

For sweets there's a choice of Cannoli Al Limoncello, Angioletti (fried pizza, Nutella, coconut and Ferrero Rocher); Torta de Mele (apple tart with warm vanilla custard), Affogato, Tiramisu, and gelato, as well as vegan desserts such as vegan chocolate cake and Vagamisu (deconstructed vegan tiramisu).

The dedicated vegan menu also includes a selection of antipasti such as vegan foccacia and zucchini flowers filled with olive tapenade, vegan pizzas and pasta. There's also a children's menu of spaghetti bolognese and pizza, including a margherita pizza topped with french fries

The drinks list at Antica includes Classic Apperitifs like Negroni, Campari Soda and Americano as well as house cocktails such as Vamerotto Sour and Tiramisu Martini. A selection of Italian beers are available by the bottle, as well as Peroni Nastro Azzuro on tap, while the wine list takes you on a journey through the best wine-growing regions of Italy.

Good to know - Antica Pizzeria is child friendly, with a top kids menu and plenty of space for prams. On street parking is available nearby.
