Mina Italian brings a lively and authentic slice of Italy to the riverside end of Bulimba's Oxford Street.

The chic contemporary Italian restaurant, from the talented team that brought Cielo, La Costa and Evita to Brisbane, can be spotted by the bright yellow and white striped umbrellas and white picket fence out front.

Diners can take a seat on the terrace outside or in the Euro-style interior with its gold trimmed marble topped tables, bentwood chairs, terrazzo trimmed bar and open kitchen. 

On the menu, to start there are Pane & Bites such as woodfired pizza bread, foccacia, Scarmorza (grilled smoked dry mozzarella, smoked salt, lemon & wild rocket) or Gamberi Grigliati (local split grilled prawns, yellow tomato bruschetta, chilli, lemon & garlic).

Antipasto dishes include Arrostocinni E Cipolle (coal cooked dry aged lamb skewers, abruzzo onion, black salt); Arancini del Gionro; Capesante Al Gratin (local scallops on shell, pangrattato, nduja’ butter, bottarga) and the highly recommended Vitello Tonnato (veal carpaccio, local tuna mayonnaise, caperberry, shallot & wild salad greens).

Primi dishes include Spaghetti Ai Gamberi (Mooloolaba prawn, chilli, garlic, prawn bisque, soft herbs); Pappardelle All'Anatra (confit duck maryland, portobello, parsley, truffle mushroom broth, reggiano) and Gnocchi Al Forno E Verdura (sugo, scamorza, winter vegetables, flat bread).

There's also a selection of traditional Napoli style wood-fired pizzas (rosse and bianchi) as well as Mains such as Bistecca di Menzo; Steak Florentine (with Nana's broccoli, roast fennel, black pepper fries and bone marrow sauce: and Saltimbocca Di Pollo Alla Mina (free range chicken, sage & prosciutto).

There's also a small selection fo delectable desserts including Tiramisu (espresso martini sponge); Cannoli; Banoffee Pie and Panna Cotta & Mascapone.

As for the drinks menu, Mina Italian offers an extensive wine list featuring a bounty of Italian wines from he best wine regions of Italy as well as a small selection of boutique Australian wines and a smattering of French wine and champagnes.

There's also a choice of classic cocktails (including Australian Negroni, Spritz Veneziano and Mina Espresso Martini) and creative house cocktails such as Mina Bellini, Acido Italia and Amarra Dolce. Wine and cocktails are complemented by a menu of premium spirits and a small selection of Italian and craft beers.

Good to know - Mina Italian is family-friendly, with high chairs for tots and a small dedicated kids menu.
