This autumn, the Australian Cinémathèque at GOMA presents an unrivalled retrospective of films highlighting Juliette Binoche’s unbridled career on the screen, from April 28-June 18.

With more than 70 feature-films to her name, Juliette Binoche is one of the most sought-after and celebrated actors of her generation.

Juliette Binoche

For many, Binoche catapulted to international fame in the visually arresting and critically acclaimed Thee Colours Blue (1993), winning her Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival.

Launching the stellar program on Friday 28 April, the must-see first film in the Three Colours Series is sure to recapture the moment you first experienced Director Krzysztof Kieślowski’s now-iconic focus on French life.

Juliette Binoche

Series highlights span contemporary deep-space odyssey High Life (2018), and provocative film-within-a-film Mary (2005), to the fraught and febrile soviet Czechoslovakia in The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) and the delectably comic fable Chocolat (2000).

Building her career on the foundation of fearless, authentic, and sensitive performances, , Binoche brings a uniqueness and strength not only to each role she plays but the entire film.

Celebrate an extraordinary and luminous career and make a date with Juliette Binoche today at GOMA!
