Rooka Açai
Moorooka
Updated: Jan 15, 2026
Nestled in the heart of Moorooka, Rooka Açai is a hidden gem serving up authentic Brazilian açai.
Only ten minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, Rooka Açai is home to fresh açai bowls, great coffee, and some seriously impressive matchas.
This quaint cafe on the corner of Moorooka’s main street offers one of Brisbane’s largest arrays of açai bowls. They make their açai authentically, using berries harvested from palm trees in Brazil, primarily within the Amazon rainforest. Packed with natural antioxidants, their açai bowls are a nourishing and refreshing treat.
With ample seating both inside and out, it’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends or grab a bowl for yourself and people-watch. One of their most popular options is the Biscoff Açai, topped with bananas, strawberries, Biscoff crumbs, and a generous drizzle of Biscoff sauce.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, their Dubai Chocolate Açai is a must-try. It’s built with a base of açai, banana, and strawberries, then topped with Dubai filling, pistachio crumbs, and a rich pistachio sauce. They also offer a whole range of fruit bowls, many of which come drizzled with their house-made chocolate sauces (you can even grab chocolate-coated strawberries to go). The owners are committed to using only the freshest ingredients, sourcing everything locally and preparing all of their sauces traditionally.
They’re also home to some seriously good coffee. The owners scoured Australia to find the best beans and ultimately landed on a Brisbane local - The Hills Roastery. Rooka Açai is the perfect spot to stop by for a high-quality brew or to pick up some beans for enjoying cafe-quality coffee at home.
Open until midnight, it’s the perfect spot to swing by for dessert after your next date night, with neon lights adding a vibrant glow that makes the space truly stand out.
Good to know - With plenty of outdoor seating, it's the perfect place to bring your furry friends.
Need to know - Limited street parking is available nearby.
