Lick! Ice-cream

Graceville

Lick! Ice Cream is a charming artisan ice cream and dessert bar in Graceville, the flagship store of boutique Brisbane-based ice cream makers Lick.

Fans of Lick’s delectable gourmet ice-cream and sorbet, which has quietly garnered a huge fan base in Brisbane and beyond, will want to make tracks for Lick! Ice Cream and dessert bar where chef Grant Lew’s creativity is taken to a whole new level.

Lick! Ice Cream Graceville

You’ll find the cute ice-cream and dessert bar in the quaint 1950s line up of shops opposite heritage-listed Graceville Station – look for the blue pastel and white tables and chairs on the shaded pavement. In the cool interior there’s a smattering of seating as well.

On offer at Lick are a substantial range of their signature ice-cream (in sweet flavours including popcorn and honey, roasted banana, condensed milk, spiced apple and cider, bubblegum and marshmallow and redskin) and sorbets (such as green tea and pear, Turkish apple tea, mandarin and mint, passionfruit and lime or wildberry), which are serve as single or multiple scoops in cups or waffle cones.

On the dessert front, for starters there’s a scrumptious array of gorgeous little premise-baked cakes, including Lemon meringue, red velvet, Turkish delight, caramel and Pop rock choc cake, perfect with a cup of the well-brewed Toby’s Estate house coffee or tea or served with ice-cream.

Doffles with Ice-Cream (2 cinnamon-sugared ‘doffles’ -donut waffle hybrids – a Lick special cooked in store, served with a choice of ice-cream and butterscotch sauce.

For something more decadent, there’s a choice of Banana Lickety Split, a Lick! Ice-cream Sandwich (ice-cream wedged between house-baked chocolate or almond shortbread), MMM Warm Apple Pie (Lick’s own premise-baked pie served Sutton’s Spiced Cider ice-cream and topped with strawberry sauce), the indulgent Hellooo Chocolate (Lick’s own chocolate brownie filled with vanilla ice-cream and served with cocoa sorbet, Couveture dark chocolate and topped with melted chocolate and cacao nibs) and the highly recommended Doffles with Ice-Cream (2 cinnamon-sugared ‘doffles’ -donut waffle hybrids – a Lick special cooked in store, served with a choice of ice-cream and butterscotch sauce.

Sweet cake on a plate

Drinks-wise, as well as coffee and tea (including Breakfast Blend, Chai, Chamomile and Rosehip), Lick serves milk shakes, ice-cream spiders (creaming soda, ginger beer or coke with two scoops of vanilla ice-cream), fruit frappes, Sutton’s Famous Apple Juice from the farm in Stanthorpe, hot chocolate and iced coffee.

Good to know - Lick! Ice Cream is handily located straight across the road from Graceville Station. It makes the perfect post-movie pitstop after catching a film at Graceville's Regal Twin Cinema.
