Blaktan Coffee in North Lakes is named after a very special black and tan Rottweiler dog whose logo adorns the walls of this modern Asian fusion cafe bar and kitchen.
There are comfy lounges, booths or window seating at Blaktan Coffee, providing a very pleasant spot to enjoy an Asian-inspired breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Breakfast at this North Lakes favourite includes the Blaktan Big Breakfast (bao bun, rice paper roll, gyoza, hash brown, bacon and eggs), Matcha hotcakes (Japanese matcha hotcake, matcha chantilly cream, roasted seeds and seasonal fruit) or lemongrass panna cotta along with chia seed pudding, eggs on toast or smashed avo on toast with beetroot hummus, eggplant, feta cheese and basil pesto.
The lunch menu at Blaktan Coffee features bao buns with a choice of fillings, okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake), home made gyoza, red papaya salad or bun cha (vermicelli salad). Alternatively, visitors may choose from the chef's choice degustation menu, as well as a wide range of other a la carte options from the dinner menu.
For the sweet tooths, there are house made brownies with Earl Grey ice cream and lemongrass pannacotta with Thai basil ice cream. And in terms of beverages, Blaktan Coffee roast their own coffee beans (also available for purchase) in house and serve matcha lattes and smoothies alongside Asahi beer imported from Japan, as well as some unique cocktails.
In a nutshell - Licensed Asian fusion cafe offering all day dining from a spacious and comfortable environment.
Nice to know - there's also a couple of kids dishes on the menu - bacon and egg bao bun or chicken nuggets and chips.
Need to know - There is a car park next door to Blaktan Coffee which is located within North Lakes Business Park.
