The cottages, which were once home to Alfred & Constance and most recently Justin Lane Pizzeria, have been given a new lease of life with Ember & Ash, with the cafe pumping out coffee and breakfast from 6am Monday to Saturday and the restaurant and bar from midday til 3am Wednesday to Sunday.

Inside, the original charm of the cottages is preserved through exposed brickwork and dark timber accents, creating a series of moody, interconnected dining rooms and bar spaces.

The interior strikes a sophisticated balance between industrial grit and warmth, featuring charcoal tones, leather banquettes, and an open kitchen, which is centred around the art of wood-fire cooking from its custom-built hearth.
