BK Pizzeria & Cafe

BK Ukrainian Cafe and Pizzeria in West End dishes up a tantalising array of Eastern European eats, from Ukrainian dumplings (varenyky) and Chicken Kiev to the classic Crimean snack, deep-fried chebureki filled with beef and pork.

Located on the corner of Montague Road and Ashington Street, the family-owned cafe is a little slice of Eastern Europe, and Brisbane's only Ukrainian cafe.

The cafe offers a range of breakfast fare on Sundays including a delicious breaky pizza, bacon and egg rolls, and Russian ricotta pancakes (syrniki).

For an authentic taste of Eastern European, there's Ukrainian potato dumplings (varenyky) and Russian dumplings stuffed with beef and pork (pelmeni), plus deep-fried chebureki turnovers and beetroot salad; chicken & egg crepe (blini) or meat rice pilaff.

For something more substantial, there are cabbage rolls filled with beef and rice, baked in tomato sauce, served with mashed potato and sour cream; and Piroshki (flaky pastry filled with beef or potato & mushroom).

Alternatively, there's a selection of pizzas: Chef's Special, BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Margherita, and more. The Meat Lovers pizza paired with beetroot salad is a popular combo.
