Seating Area at Johnny Gio's Pizza

Set on a busy corner of Merthyr Road, this bold red-hued venue draws you in with the unmistakable aroma of authentic Italian pizza. With every pizza hand-stretched and baked in an original brick oven, you’ll be transported to Italy after just one bite. Located in New Farm, it’s the perfect spot to grab a pizza before heading to New Farm Park to enjoy the sunset.

Pizza at Johnny Gio's Pizza

Crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, each pizza features a minimal number of components so the quality of every flavour can be fully appreciated. The menu has been thoughtfully refined to deliver a concise yet compelling lineup of Italian classics and crowd favourites.

Garlic Bread at Johnny Gio's Pizza

Can you really have pizza without garlic bread on the side? Johnny Gio’s offers a tempting range, from the classic garlic bread to cheesy favourites and a standout cheesy hot honey garlic bread.

Speciality Pizzas at Johnny Gio's Pizza

At Johnny Gio’s Pizza, the classics are done exceptionally well. A must-try is the Mozzarella; simple yet full of flavour, featuring an in-house red sauce topped with garlic, mozzarella and oregano. For something a little more indulgent, their specialty pizzas shine, with the Burrata Queen a crowd favourite. Topped with pomodoro, cherry tomatoes, garlic confit, basil and a generous 125g of burrata, it’s as delicious as it is Instagrammable.

Hot Honey at Johnny Gio's Pizza

Also recommended is the Sonny Honey (spicy sopressa, red onion, ricotta, basil and hot honey). You can even pick up their signature hot honey to take home and elevate your own pizza nights. Try it once and it’ll be hard to enjoy pizza without that balance of sweetness and heat.

Meatballs at Johnny Gio's Pizza

Alongside their pizzas, Johnny Gio’s also offers a delectable selection of sides that perfectly complement any Italian feast. Their veal meatballs, widely credited with putting Johnny Gio’s on the map, are rich, flavour-packed and served doused in a homemade sauce with creamy ricotta.

Dessert at Johnny Gio's Pizza

To complete the true Italian experience, be sure to try one of their indulgent tiramisus. Served in a generous portion, it’s rich, creamy, and layered with coffee-soaked sponge, making it the ideal way to round out your meal.

Good to know - With limited outdoor seating, there is space to enjoy your meal on-site, but Johnny Gio’s is primarily a takeaway destination.

Need to know - Limited street parking available nearby.
