075 Pinsa Romana dishes up delicious Roman-style pizzas from their New Farm kitchen.
They specialise in pizza al taglio (pizza by the slice) - light, crispy Roman-style slices that taste just as delicious as they look, alongside their signature pinsa, a full-sized oval Roman pizza that’s equally as impressive.
The pizza bar is a solid option for a quick lunch break; fresh slices are always ready to go and are all made with fresh ingredients. The space itself is deliberately minimal, with the focus kept firmly on the food. Being right in the heart of New Farm, it’s an easy stop-in when you’re in the midst of a busy day.
Everything in the store is made in-house - from the sauces to the meatballs to the dough. Their cold cuts and cheeses come from small local suppliers, and you can taste the difference in the quality. The prosciutto is cut fresh when your pizza is made, ensuring it stays tender and full of flavour instead of drying out. It’s a small touch that makes a noticeable difference.
They’re using a traditional Castelli pizza oven, the first of its kind in Brisbane, and possibly even in Australia. It brings an authenticity to the pizzas that’s hard to replicate, giving each slice a perfectly cooked crust and a distinct character.
The tray pizzas pay homage to traditional Roman pizza-making, crafted in generous rectangles with a crisp yet airy base. Each topping is thoughtfully chosen to let the flavours shine, showing a deep respect for the techniques and flavours that have defined Roman pizza for generations.
The menu showcases a thoughtfully curated range of pizzas, each with its own character. The Patate is a delectable mix of potato, rosemary, olive oil, and salt, which perfectly highlights the airy texture of the Roman pinsa base. For something with more kick, the Salami pairs a tomato base with spicy salami, olives, mozzarella, and fresh basil. And the Salsiccia, a local favourite, features a mozzarella base topped with Italian sausage, mushrooms, and chives.
Roman pizzas are lighter on wheat than typical pizzas, giving the base an airy, almost focaccia-like texture. Crisp around the edges and soft in the centre, the dough holds the toppings perfectly while staying light enough to enjoy every bite.
For something a little different, the specialty pizzas stand out. The Polpette combines ragu, meatballs, grana, and fresh basil, which is a must-try! The Salmon pizza features a cream cheese base topped with smoked salmon, avocado, and dill. They also offer a range of pizza-based sandwiches, including the Pollo with chicken, roasted almonds, celery, mayo, and salad, and the Mortadella with mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachio, each showcasing the versatility of their pizza dough.
They also offer takeaway, making it easy to grab a few slices or a whole pizza and enjoy them in the New Farm park. Fresh, Roman-style pizzas, a relaxed spot, and the chance to watch the sunset - what more could you want?
From the airy, focaccia-like bases to the carefully crafted toppings, 075 Pinsa Romana brings a true taste of Rome to New Farm.
