Night Market is a stunning neon lit Pan Asian bar restaurant serving delicious street eats and insta-worthy cocktails, hidden behind a rustic wooden door in Fortitude Valley.

Beyond the cherry blossom-festooned entrance, there's a lineup of plush red leather booths along one wall and high tables with bar seating along the other.

Tables are lit with golden lamps and walls are adorned with a mix of striking Asian-style graffit street art and moving pictures depicting bustling Asian street scenes.

At the rea of the dining lounge is a bar with dining nook uncer a cluster of colourful lanterns and from there a door leads to the night club at the back.

On the menu, which is designed to share, are delicious raw dishes such as petite tuna tostada (rice cake, green chilli & cirus mayo); oyster with mandarin kosho & whiskey vinegar; and watermelon sashimi (tamari, radish & nori).

The tempting selection of snacks includes miso popcorn chicken & togarashi; king oyster mushroom skewer & miso garlic butter; steamed gyoza with chilli oil & chives; wagyu & wasabi butter skewer with soy glaze; and white fish sando with tarragon tartare sauce & fermented shallots.

Larger plates to share include green-tea smoked prok belly, cucumber ribbons & sweet soy jus; chicken katsu & cabbage; and wagyu brisket, pickled shimeji, wasabi verde & red miso. Sides include okonomoyaki fries, tonkatsu mayo, bonito & spring onion, which is almost a meal unto itself; as well as sweets like pandan mille-feuille with lychee & kaffir lime. There's also a choice of chefs banquet or premium chef's banquet (min.4 ppl).

Must-try are the cocktails, which are almost worthy of a visit alone and these include Spicy Lemongrass Margarita (1800 silver tequila, cointreau, lime juice, chilli & lemongrass syrup); Bang! Bang! (limoncello, yuzushi, butterscotch schnapps, leon jouse & aquafaba); Sake Lychee Martini; and the cokctail which turns into a souvenir after you drink it ''Snap Me a Selfie' - roku gin, creme de fraise, cranberry juice & Earl Grey syrup) - a polaroid photo is taken of you at the table as you drink it and clips onto the side of the glass).

The rest of the bar menu includes a small selection of sake, asahi and house lager on tap, bottled beers including kome craft rice beer and ichiban along with local craft beer; and a wine list of mostly Australian and NZ wines as well as prosecco and french champagne.

Good to know - Night Market is open for dining until 11.30pm, one of the few places in Brisbane where you can enjoy a decent late night meal.

Need to know - There is a secure car park about 150m away on Alfred St and Brunswick Street Station is across the road.
