Tucked away under the Roma St overpass can be found this treasure of a little dumpling house that serves up delicious northern Chinese style dumplings, made fresh daily on the premises.

The gleaming interior features a communal table made from salvaged doors from the floods and there are plans to add a rolling table in the space by the counter to watch the dumpling making in progress.

Dumplings come in three flavours – vegetarian zen: shiitake mushroom, seasoned tofu, Chinese cabbage and a touch of carrot and ginger, lovabull: minced beef, red onion, fresh ginger and spice or Harbin pork, a 1000 year old traditional filling of ground pork, chives and ginger. And as well as the dumplings, on the menu are pork clouds – melt-in-the-mouth steamed sweet pork buns.

Select any mix of dumplings at 4 for $6 or 8 for $10 or mix and match with 3 dumplings or 6 with a bun for $7 and $10 respectively. Otherwise the buns are $3 each.
