Haigh's Chocolates

Mt Gravatt

Updated: Aug 31, 2026

Brisbane chocolate lovers, this one is for you! Haigh’s Chocolates has officially arrived in Brisbane, opening its first-ever Queensland store at Westfield Mt Gravatt and bringing its much-loved range of artisan chocolates to the city.

Australia’s oldest family-owned chocolate maker has opened its new boutique store on Level 2, next to MECCA, giving Brisbane shoppers the chance to experience the brand’s signature retail offering in person.

And while the Brisbane store may be brand new, Haigh’s Chocolates is anything but.

The family-owned chocolatier was founded by Alfred E Haigh in Adelaide in 1915, when he opened the doors to the very first Haigh’s store in the Beehive Building on King William Street. More than 110 years after Alfred first opened his doors, Haigh’s remains proudly family owned and is now run by the fourth generation of the Haigh family.

Haigh’s continues to take a traditional approach to chocolate making, sourcing premium cocoa beans from plantations around the world and roasting its own beans to create its distinctive milk and dark chocolate blends. Its confectioners combine artisan skills with modern manufacturing techniques, with many chocolates still being handmade and finished by hand.

There are now more than 250 varieties of Haigh’s chocolates to choose from, spanning everything from its iconic chocolate frogs and Speckles to hand-dipped truffles, gift boxes and other sweet treats.

That range is now available to Brisbane shoppers at Westfield Mt Gravatt, alongside the brand's signature customer experience. Complimentary tastings, gift wrapping and personalised service are all part of the Haigh’s store experience, making the new Brisbane location more than just somewhere to pick up a block of chocolate.

There’s also a sweet opening offer for those heading in soon. Customers who spend $75 or more in-store between August 28 and September 4 will receive a complimentary packet of Milk Chocolate Speckles.

And Haigh’s Brisbane expansion doesn’t stop at Mt Gravatt. The brand is set to open additional stores at Westfield Chermside and Westfield Carindale in November, bringing even more of its century-old chocolate-making tradition to Brisbane.
