Devon Pixies Tea House

Kingston

Devon Pixies is a quaint tea house residing in the old caretaker's cottage at the Kingston Butter Factory Precinct.

The historic caretaker's cottage at the recently redeveloped cultural precinct has been converted into a charming tea room inside, with tables set with rose-patterned table cloths and vintage tea cup sets, while outside on the wrap around veranda, patrons can sip cups of tea or coffee with a delicious slice or cake, enjoy a traditional Cream Tea with fluffy scones, jam and cream, or something extra special.

Devon Pixies, Kingston

Starting at $25 per person, Devon Pixies offers high tea without pretence or the hefty price tag. The Petit High Tea includes freshly baked scones, organic strawberry jam and thick cream, as well as dainty finger sandwiches (fillings include egg salad, cream cheese and cucumber, ham and mustard, or ploughman's cheese) plus a delectable decorated cupcake; while High Tea consists of all of the above plus a trio of sweet treats.

For the ultimate indulgence, treat yourself to the Deluxe High Tea. Guest will receive a fruity, non-alcoholic cocktail upon arrival before indulging in dainty triangle sandwiches and hot savouries such as spinach scrolls, sausage rolls, and mini frittatas, followed by scones, cupcakes and homemade sweets like caramel slice, chocolate covered strawberries, profiteroles, or chocolate cups filled with lemon cream cheese.

Devon Pixies Logan Village

All High Teas and traditional Cream Tea includes your choice of plunger coffee or locally blended tea including Devon Pixies own special blend - with unlimited refills.

Alternatively, you can visit the tea house for a cup of coffee or tea, accompanied by a sweet slice or piece of cake, or freshly made-to-order sandwich or wrap.

While some tea houses shun children, Devon Pixies welcomes them. They even cater for children's High Tea parties with fairy bread, dainty sandwiches (vegemite, cheese or ham), butter biscuits, decorated cupcakes, fruit juice or hot chocolate and a take-home lolly bag.  All party packages include a birthday banner, gift table and a theme colour for table cloths and napkins (prearranged with sufficient notice).

Devon Pixies also caters for special occasions, from bridal teas and baby showers to birthday celebrations and intimate weddings.

Nice to know - Scones, slices, and cakes are freshly baked on-site from recipes handed down from family and friends.

Need to know - Please advise if you are gluten-free, lactose-intolerant, vegetarian or vegan as the High Tea menu can be adjusted accordingly. Bookings are essential for High Tea and Deluxe High Tea. Sunday bookings are available for groups of 10+.
