Christopher's Fine Food & Wine

Daisy Hill

Christopher's Fine Food and Wine is a hidden gem tucked away in a Daisy Hill shopping strip, that easily lives up to its name.

Defying its car park-fronting location, Christopher's is an unexpectedly classy establishment, complete with jazz music, twinkling lights and a cocktail bar. Fancy though it may be, the staff are friendly and owner Chris Waters goes out of his way to make sure everyone feels welcome.

Open for breakfast, lunch and a drink, and for dinner later in the week, Christopher’s strives to use only the finest and freshest local ingredients.

The breakfast menu is varied and includes waffle cups (for those with a sweet tooth), a breakfast bagel, sweet corn and haloumi fritters, plus brekkie staples such as smashed avo, eggs on toast, and gourmet fruit toast.

Lunch offerings include sandwiches, burgers, pizza, salad and seafood. For dinner, you can choose from dishes such as the rib fillet, chicken parmi, or even a duck salad. Tapas selections include crumbed mushrooms stuffed with leg ham, basil and blue cheese, served with sweet chilli and salad, or chorizo sausage, grilled haloumi and toasted Turkish bread with onion jam.

Fully licensed, Christopher’s works hard at ensuring the drinks complement the fine food. Guests can choose from the extensive boutique wine menu, as well as beers, ciders or cocktails. If you don’t see a cocktail you like, the resident mixologist is happy to go a little off-menu to create something special.

On the non-alcoholic side, there’s also a wide range of teas, Merlo coffee, milkshakes and other cold beverages to choose from. Sweet treats are also available to accompany your drink selection.
