Coorparoo

As far as great places to eat breakfast in Brisbane go, Flute at Coorparoo would have to be up there with the best in the east.

Popular with locals, this popular cafe offers fare worth waiting for, with stand-out dishes like Flute Truffled Eggs, Canadian Waffles; Signature Benedict and Shroom Bowl.

Other options include Sweet Corn & Feta Cakes, Chilli scrambled eggs and Southern Chicken Waffle Stack and to accompany there's well-brewed coffee, delish smoothies and hot chocolates.

Flute is also a popular lunch spot and provides dinner service on Friday and Saturday nights, serving mouth-watering fare such as share plates of slow-cooked beef short ribs, honey soy chicken drumsticks, Italiano pork meatballs, and a vegetarian mezze platter piled with Turkish pide, olives, bocconcini, hummus and curried yoghurt.

Make sure to save room for Flute's decadent desserts like sticky date pudding with honeycomb and toffee popcorn, or white chocolate and macadamia brownie with salted caramel and vanilla bean ice-cream.

Some menu items may have changed since our visit.
