Dave's Wine Revival

Fortitude Valley

Updated: Mar 19, 2026

Dave’s Wine Revival, a hidden gem in Fortitude Valley, is a no-fuss wine bar dedicated to showcasing independent wineries.

Dave’s Wine Revival predominantly produces its own wines, with a focus on highlighting the very best that Australia has to share. While the bar offers a wide selection, it also features some of Queensland’s finest local wines - so impressive, they might even give South Australia a run for its money!

Interior of Dave's Wine Revival

The interior of Dave’s Wine Revival is sleek and pared-back, putting the wines front and centre. It’s the perfect spot for an end-of-week catch-up with friends over a shared bottle, or even better, to explore a variety of wines with their tasting package.

Dave’s Wine Revival is all about making wine approachable and enjoyable. The team encourages conversation and questions, creating a relaxed space where people can enjoy wine without fuss and explore new varieties at their own pace. Find a wine you love? All of Dave’s selections are available for purchase, so you can easily take your favourites home to enjoy.

Label's at Dave's Wine Revival

Here at Dave’s Wine Revival, the focus is firmly on the wine. The space is BYO for food, so you’re free to bring your own cheese, charcuterie, snacks, pizzas, or whatever your go-to is. It’s a relaxed, unpretentious way to enjoy great wine with friends, transforming your visit into a laid-back, elevated picnic experience.

Art at Dave's Wine Revival

As for the owners of Dave’s Wine Revival, they aren’t just art lovers - they’re artists themselves. The space is lined with stunning artworks, many of which are featured on their own wine labels. They often host exhibition nights where you can enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the art on display.

Death Box at Dave's Wine Revival

Looking for a wine with a story? The founder of Dave’s Wine Revival has spent the past 25 years crafting his own wines. In 2017, while making Grenache in a shipping container just west of Ipswich, a gust of wind slammed the door shut, trapping him inside with rising CO₂ from the fermenting wine. Paradoxically, after this terrifying ordeal, the wine he produced was exceptional - earning the name "The Death Box."

It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a glass, and learn more about the craft and character of some of Australia's finest local wines.

Good to know - They offer a selection of cleanskin wines that you can personalise with inhouse printing. These custom-labelled bottles are the perfect gift for the wine lovers in your life.

Need to know - Limited street parking is available nearby.
