The Cafe Kalina
Springfield
Updated: Dec 09, 2025
Located within Springfield, west of Brisbane, The Café Kalina boasts stunning country views into a local nature corridor.
Family-friendly, The Cafe Kalina's lovely staff are very welcoming, making everyone feel right at home.
The surrounding pathways lead to numerous playgrounds and equipment which will delight the littlest of family members including a climbing wall aimed at smaller children. There's also a beautiful toadstool, surrounded by herb gardens and plants with a water-play station which encourages visitors to water the flower beds.
The café lunch menu consists of favourites including a selection of burgers, salads and slices; while the breakfast menu has a ‘build-your-own’ option so that you can have everything on your plate that you love. The children’s menu is also well stocked with a number of options at a reasonable price.
The owner of the café has a long and prestigious history of working as a chef in numerous locations and produces approximately 85% of the food on offer onsite, with both gluten-free options and ‘raw’ options available.
The Cafe Kalina is mostly undercover and elevated, so a beautiful breeze flows through the building. The playground areas are staggered and within view of the café, allowing parents to enjoy the ambience of the café while watching their children playing.
Nice to know - There is a large flat green area in front of the café which encourages children to bring a ball along and play ballgames and run around.
Good to know - Patrons are welcome to bring their four legged friends, with puppycinos and doggy treats available.
In a nutshell - A great option for a family get-together with a feeling of wide open space, great food and plenty of space.
