Sue's Burgers and Shakes is a sleek retro American diner-inspired burger bar located underneath Angelika Cinemas at Woolloongabba's South City Square.

The spacious high-ceilinged diner features black and white checked floors and a mix of pale blue and white vinyl booths and red and white 1950's style dining chairs, with some seating outside on the covered terrace too.

On the menu are a decadent range of juicy beef burgers. including Sue's classic, double or signature alongside the Glazy Susan (Grass fed beef patty, American cheese, bacon & signature sauce on a Biscoff glazed milk bun topped with bacon bits & cheese); Mac to the Future (classic burger with mac'n'cheese, onion, aioli and tomato sauce); and Philly Cheesesteak.

Chicken burgers include Southern fried chicken or Nashville hot chicken with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and house aioli on a toasty milk bun; while vege burgers include a plant-based patty with American or vegan cheese on a toasty milk or vegan gluten free bun as well as a bunless burger.

From the range of loaded fries (almost a meal in themselves) there's poutine, cheese'n'bacon. freaky fries, loaded maple fries or Nashville hot chicken loaded fries.

Other sides include southern fried chicken wings, 3-cheese mac'n'cheese; onion rings; popcorn chicken bites and mozzarella stickes as wella s plain or sweet potato fries.

Must-try are the shakes, which come in flavours of nutella, Oreo cookies'n'cream; peanut butter; malteser; crunchie honeycomb or crunchy Biscoff. 

Need to know - There is an onsite secure undercover carpark (entry off Deshon St) with free parking for up to five hours.
