Antico

Brisbane CBD

Updated: Dec 04, 2025

Antico is a gorgeous Italian-inspired cocktail bar inhabiting a character-filled split-level space that was once home to a beauty school in Brisbane's historic Burnett Lane.

Step inside beyond the rustic exterior to find a dazzling multi-coloured mirrored bar manned by formally-attired bartenders, exposed handmade brick walls and pillars, glamorous gold chandelier, candlelit tables and the choice of three cosy 'rooms' in which to take a seat.

Nestled on the lower level near the entrance is a tiny lounge with two curved leather booths, whilst the middle level has stool seating along one wall and the bar, and upstairs a lace iron-trimmed balcony has more booths and stool seating, overlooking the bar below.

On the bar menu are eight creative house cocktails, with fruity flavours and made using fresh locally produced ingredients and premium spirits.

Otherwise there's a choice of two draught beers (Peroni and Pacific Ale), two red and two white wines, two sparkling (prosecco and Tattinger champagne) and two bar snacks (bruschetta or burrata & mortadella).

Good to know - Antico is by the same talented folk behind nearby Death & Taxes (also in Burnett Lane) and Dr Gimlette in Edward St.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
