Syd's Pies

Syd’s Pies and British Food Shop serves up an exquisite assortment of award-winning pies and pastries, plus Brisbane’s biggest range of British groceries.

Located just off the M1 at Loganholme (anyone who’s ever driven this stretch of road is likely to recognise it), the bright yellow store is run by a proud Scottish family who emigrated to Australia back in the early 1980s and have been in business – at various locations across Brisbane – ever since.

Inside Syd’s Pies you’ll find two generous glass cabinets bursting with a huge range of mouthwatering pies and other pastry-encased goodies, all of which are baked in store, using only top-quality ingredients.

The range includes everything from chunky steak to traditional Scottish pies, Cornish pasties, quiches, generously-sized family pies, and the deliciously sweet apple and rhubarb pie. Those wanting to tuck straight in can grab a table under the covered seating area at the front of the store.

Syd’s also boasts a wide selection of groceries and other British delicacies such as haggis, Scotch eggs, black pudding sausages, and anything you could possibly need for a traditional Scottish breakfast. The haggis comes from an old family recipe and is regularly praised by customers as being better than anything found in Scotland.

Grocery offerings include biscuits, lollies, chocolates, soft drinks, tea bags, cereal, soups, jams and more. Keep an eye out on their Facebook page for details of newly-arrived products.
