Wedding Garden Party

The Wedding Garden Party is a fabulous free family day out in conjunction with The Bowerbird and The Bride at Old Government House, on Sunday July 22.

From the collection of award-winning Australian costume designer Marion Boyce (Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries) and developed in conjunction with QUT, this exhibition of Australian vintage wedding fashion is sure to delight Brisbane fashionistas, history lovers, vintage enthusiasts, and modern-day brides alike.

Bring along your picnic blankets and baskets to enjoy a decadent lunch on the sprawling greens surrounding the charming building that was the original social hub of colonial Queensland. Dance the day away with swing classes, be pampered to perfection at our pop-up salon before visiting the photobooth, enjoy wedding-themed lawn games, and make beautiful flower crowns – all to the beat of live music and DJ tunes!

Come dressed in your wedding best (gowns, suits, and bridesmaid dresses!) and hit the catwalk for our Best Dressed competition, judged by Brisbane's leading bespoke bridal fashion designer Paul Hunt.

Need to know - Pre-ordered picnic hampers are available from onsite Aroma Cafe (order by July 18th) or you can purchase everything from wraps to meals on the day also at Aroma Cafe.
