Undertone

Brisbane Powerhouse

A unique circus-crossed-with-technology show comes to the Brisbane Powerhouse, with Undertone at the Wonderland Festival, from Thursday, 24 – Sunday, 27 November.

Awarded Best Circus Show from Perth Fringeworld, Undertone features world-class circus artists teaming up with prodigious electronic music talent, Zoltan Fecso, to create an exciting fusion. Using live triggering to create soundscapes from the performance itself, this interactive process results in a different show every time.

The circus artists showing off their daring talents in Undertone have a combined performance experience of over 60 years, with credits including Circus Oz, Stalker, Strange Fruit, Palazzo, GOP, Circa and Dragone. Avan Whaite is the innovative director, and the Brisbane premiere sees the circus performers teaming up with electronic music guru, Zoltan Fecso, who uses new audio technologies to create interactive scenes that integrate the performers and environment into the music.

The show has had a successful premiere season, earning rave reviews and wowing audiences. Says Rip It Up, Adelaide: “This is not a run-of-the-mill circus act – it’s a brand new creation, something completely original and innovative and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”
