Turner's Turn
Ipswich Civic Centre
It’s the audience’s turn to be wowed by accomplished theatre star, Geraldine Turner, when her show Turner's Turn plays at Ipswich Civic Centre, Friday, February 9.
Accompanied on piano by Musical Director, Brad Miller, Turner – a veteran performer of four decades – will celebrate her amazing life on stage in a performance that is her first cabaret stint in over ten years.
The wait will have been worth it, as Turner gives her all to bring back the magic from when she performed in stage musicals such as Anything Goes, Chicago, Oliver, Into The Woods, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd and more. She also recorded the first solo Steven Sondheim album, for which she received worldwide acclaim.
The award-winning star will have more than a few entertaining stories to tell in this intimate setting. With acclaim for her roles in plays such as Steel Magnolias and Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, and TV roles in House Husbands, Home and Away, and All Saints, there will be anecdotes galore about working in the entertainment industry.
Turner’s Turn has received rave reviews, with the Sydney Morning Herald saying, “Chutzpah, Swagger: Geraldine is Back!” while Indulge Magazine said, “An Australian legend… a brilliant show!”
