Speed: The Movie, The Play

The standout of the 2015 Brisbane Comedy Festival, Speed: The Movie The Play is hurtling back into Brisbane for a limited season.

For those who missed the bus the first time around this is your chance to climb aboard for a wild and hilarious ride that you’ll never forget.

Paying shameless homage to the cult 1990s action thriller, Speed: The Movie, The Play is set to take audiences on a trip down the highway of 90s nostalgia on a vintage B59 Volvo bus, complete with Hollywood-ish special effects and Keanu Reeves jokes.

And along the way, it will go to show, as the movie did, that the best drama always happens on public transport.

Need to know – The meeting place for Speed is signed outside the Brisbane Powerhouse. The bus can seat up to 40 audience members per show, but being vintage, unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible. Drinks are not permissible onboard.
