Sculptures on the Wharf
Portside
Popular riverside precinct Portside Wharf is showcasing Sculptures on the Wharf, with 36 hand-crafted pieces dotted throughout the plaza and along the river until November 30, 2022.

This family-friendly display features works in a wide variety of mediums and applications, and from a range of very talented artists, all who are members of Sculptors Queensland, a not-for-profit organisation based within the grounds of Old Queensland Museum, Bowen Hills.

From a full-size Morris minor to a giant unicorn seashell, the range of creations is an inspiration for budding artists and lovers of art.

There is also an indoor display (located next to Deer Sir) that is open on Sundays and Tuesdays from 10am – 2pm and is free to visit.

Visitors can vote for their favourite pieces in the indoor gallery to put them in the running for the People’s Choice Awards – all you need to do is scan the QR code on the information sticker and follow the prompts.

Nice to know – All of the pieces are available for purchase, with prices and contact information on display.
So, why not make a day of it and grab a bite or a drink while you’re at Portside, or even take in a film at Portside Dendy. There's plenty of parking available, or you can catch the CityCat and disembark at nearby Brett's Wharf. It's also right across the road from Hercules Street Park, which the kids will enjoy.
