Peter Helliar

Brisbane Powerhouse

One of Australia’s best-loved comedians, Peter Helliar, is putting on his Big Boy Pants in his hit new stand-up show in the Brisbane Comedy Festival, March 2 – 4 at Brisbane Powerhouse.

Helliar’s show sees the popular funnyman and regular host of Network Ten’s The Project acknowledging that he’s come to the time in his life where he has to put on his big boy pants. And speaking of pants, a good place to start is by getting a vasectomy. It’s probably all uphill from there.

Big Boy Pants is described by the comedian himself as his “most recent show yet” – a comment you just can’t argue with! The affable guy is a natural storyteller and seems to be funny without even trying, but on stage he’s every bit the professional.

After a year away from the comedy festival circuit when he wrote a best-selling book and scored a Gold Logie nomination for The Project, he’s ready to hit the stage again and exercise his comedy chops.

Tickets will no doubt sell fast for Big Boy Pants, with Crikey saying that Helliar’s performance “will topple your expectations and make you giddily guffaw”, while the Sunday Mail said that his stand-up shows show why he is one of the nation’s favourite comedians.
