The Long Road Bar & Eatery

New Farm

THE LONG ROAD BAR & EATERY HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Long Road Bar & Eatery, located in bustling New Farm creates wholesome and rustic dishes in their relaxed yet elegant restaurant locale.

Tucked away on busy Brunswick Street in a revamped workers cottage is this exceptional bar and eatery, which is the perfect hangout for after work drinks or enjoying delicious food with friends. The large menu of small plates is inspired by European flavours, with a focus on simplicity, sustainability and creating a beautiful palette.

The Long Road Bar & Eatery décor is influenced by the food; with a communal table that encourages diners to share plates and interact with one another. There is also deck seating ideal for relaxed dining and enjoying the warm, Queensland weather. It's ambient lighting and beautiful stone and timber furniture evokes a luxurious yet comfortable feel to the restaurant.

Dishes on offer are expansive, ranging from small share plates to main courses if you're feeling a little more peckish. Using only local produce (except for their amazing Spanish hams), dishes have been created to suit all tastes and preferences - with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. The restaurant also has plans to cure their own meats!

Small plates range from Stuffed Crusted Olives which are large olives stuffed with a veal, chicken and pork mince then fried and served with an accompanying green sauce. To the Hervey Bay Scallops, which are served with aioli and a smoked almond crumb, providing diners with that amazing 'melt in the mouth' scallop experience. Other unique dishes include salted cod croquettes and Silken Purse which is crispy pig's ear stuffed with chicken farse and chimichurri.

Restaurant owners and couple, Chris and Leslie also pride themselves on their expansive drinks menu - having travelled around Europe sourcing only the best wines on the market to suit their unique, rustic dishes.
