Red Hill Gallery

A colourful and innovative exhibition of works by four leading female artists, Kaleidoscope of Colour, is showing at Red Hill Gallery from Friday 2 – Sunday 18 December.

The four women featured – Christine Reilly, Larissa Blake, Loretta Blake and Karen Atkins – are lauded and respected in their own right, and their combined talents will be a feast for the senses and a fitting celebration in the Red Hill Gallery’s 30th anniversary year.

Christine Reilly strives to portray her evocative images with colour and movement, with her beachscapes, local city scenes and other works demonstrating her love of travel and people-watching. Another artist whose love of travel shows in her works, as well as everyday events and interiors, is Larissa Blake. Her work celebrate the domestic and feminine domains and are colourful and uplifting.

Larissa’s mother, Loretta Blake, is an accomplished oil and water-based painter whose first love for subject matter is flowers. She has also progressed to exploring people and landscapes. Karen Atkins’s stunning and imaginative works feature elements such as enormous skies and looks at the extraordinary relationships between people, animals, land and art. They have elements of romance and whimsy.
