Happy Little Dumplings

Bulimba

HAPPY LITTLE DUMPLINGS BULIMBA HAS CLOSED.

From their funky new kiosk just off Oxford St, Happy Little Dumplings peddle what are arguably the best dumplings in town to a growing crowd of devotees.

Flavours range from traditional Shanghai'ese to Thai style (which are handmade by the owner's Thai aunt): a BBQ pork bun which gives new meaning to the word fluffy, prawn and coriander, ginger and tofu, and chicken and chive dumplings, while for sweets there's a delicious mango pancake option. All dumplings are served in little recycled bamboo boats with a side of complimentary jasmine tea.

Outside the kiosk there's a sunny little patio with black couches and astroturf and for children a cute play tee pee and colouring station. And whether devouring the dumplings here or taking away this is without doubt the cheapest most delicious lunch to be found on the peninsula.
