The Greenroom Project Junior

Brisbane Powerhouse

Kids have an amazing opportunity these upcoming school holidays to participate in The Greenroom Project Junior, a 3 day workshop with the stars of hit stage show, Strictly Ballroom. It all takes place at the Brisbane Powerhouse, Saturday 19 – Monday 21 September, culminating in a live showcase.

The Greenroom Project is a monthly, live cabaret talk show hosted by Matt Ward, which focuses on live theatre performers with interviews, performances and gossip. With this holiday workshop, all actors, singers and dancers aged 9 – 17 years of age are encouraged to apply so that they can hone their skills working with Strictly Ballroom’s stars, Thomas Lacey (ABC’s Dance Academy) and Phoebe Panaretos (nominated for Best Female in a Musical at the Helpmann Awards). What an amazing opportunity for blossoming performers!

When you register your child, you’ll be asked if they’d like to audition to be one of 12 performers chosen to take part in the live showcase on stage at the Powerhouse on the final night at 6.30pm. Even if they don’t end up doing that, they’ll have the time of their lives learning from some industry guest mentors, and taking part in activities such as a dance workshop, voice ensemble, acting masterclass, audition technique, make-up and artistry. There’ll be a group performance with Thomas Lacey and showreel opportunities. Plus you get a Greenroom t-shirt!

Register your child now to avoid disappointment so they can explore their love of musical theatre, either just for the enjoyment of it or to see if they want to take it to performance level.
