Fairy Tales Up Late
Gallery of Modern Art
Immerse yourself in a whimsical world of fantastical folklore, as the sun goes down, at Fairy Tales Up Late.
Returning to GOMA from March 15-16, 2024, in celebration of the gallery's spellbinding exhibition Fairy Tales, this instalment of Up Late will combine the enchanting exhibition with two nights of live music, DJs, pop-up performances, food, bars and more.
Friday, March 15 will see industrial pop artist ZZADE, Melbourne’s pop Patron-Saint-of-Sad-Girls Elizabeth, and singer-songwriter-sensation Maple Glider perform on the outdoor stage with sets from DJ Hol Hibbo throughout the night.
Saturday, March 16 features Western Australian producer and multi-instrumentalist Methyl Ethel and Brisbane hip-hop/electronic outfit Tjaka, with both performances Auslan interpreted; alongside sets all night long from local legend DJ Aunty Stan.
Exclusive to Brisbane and showcasing exceptional contemporary art, costumes, installations, and iconic cinema, Fairy Tales is an unmissable fever dream of art that you’ll never forgive yourself for if you miss it. So, just like Alice, it’s time to go down the rabbit hole and into a night to remember.
