The Eiffel Restaurant
Fortitude Valley
THE EIFFEL RESTAURANT HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
The Eiffel Restaurant provides a slice of culture, romance and authentic French food to the otherwise bustling Fortitude Valley.
Step inside this ambient restaurant and it’s like you’ve stepped off the streets of Paris, into a romantic, candlelit eatery, filled with warmth and authenticity. The walls are decked out with French inspired artworks and homely photographs of the owners, who are a husband and wife team. Little Eiffel Towers have been placed on each table, which is the perfect finishing touch.
The menu is laden with share plates and delicious French cheeses, as well as entrees, mains and desserts. The Camembert Farci au Pistou, Miel, Pomme de Terre et Noix is a must do, featuring a whole baked camembert cheese, stuffed with pesto, honey, potatoes and topped with walnuts.
For mains, popular dishes are their risotto which is made from a typical French wheat grain, mixed with garlic cancoillotte cheese, mushrooms with truffle, seasonal vegetables and served with a parmesan crisp. The French calamari is also a winning dish, which is squid tubes stuffed with saffron rice, ratatouille and golden shallots, served with a garlic creamy sauce.
You can’t leave a French restaurant without dessert. Although it‘s a tough choice to choose from Eiffel Restaurant’s long list of delectable French inspired sweets. But their citrus meringue is a must try, featuring lemon curd on a biscuit and topped with fresh meringue. Believe it or not, there is also a desserts drinks list.
Fitting with the French theme, their wine list is lengthy, abundant with French and European wines. There is also Anise Aperitifs, which is a French liquor made of licorice and Provence herbs. You can also order spirits, cocktails, beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages.
Need to know – The restaurant is close to public transport and paid parking precincts.
