Museum of Brisbane turns into a cool, creative playground this Easter school holiday, with fun activities for all ages.

Hop into Brisbane City Hall for some super hero badge making, in situ drawing or a super sleuth spying activity:

Superhero Badge Studio

Inspired by Dylan Mooney’s Blak Superheroes which “… addresses and amplifies stories of representation, creating change that uplifts ourselves and mob,” children of all ages are invited to come and celebrate the stories that make us all unique. Visit Blak Superheroes during the Easter School Holidays, explore Dylan’s work in detail and be inspired to create their own superhero badge to represent their powers. Are they a super good listener? Or maybe their power is that you help others to feel powerful too? This inclusive and fun activity is a great way to practice kids' creativity and explore some of the deeper themes of Dylan’s work...more

Teen In Situ Drawing Sessions

Young budding artists aged 13-17 years are invited to turn the Museum into their own personal art studio with MoB's Teen In Situ Drawing Sessions. On selected days during school holidays teens have the opportunity to be a part of live gallery drawing sessions. They'll explore the current exhibition Making Place: 100 Views of Brisbane before sitting down to create their very own artwork in a guided workshop experience. Young artists will be introduced to some key artworks within the exhibition, focusing on trees as landmarks before diving into some intensive drawing exercises that are suitable for all skills and abilities. Little Artist's Eye Spy

There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. And while you're there be sure to pay a visit to Musuem of Brisbane's fabulous free exhibition City in the Sun, with its enchanting 'backyard', complete with an immersive installation by Rachel Burke including flower beds, a tinsel sky, garden swing, bicycle, and cubby house all adorned in her signature sparkled, hyper colourful style.
