Camerata - Heartstrings
Concert Hall, QPAC
Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra will open the first of their four main stage concerts this year with Heartstrings, performed live at QPAC's Concert Hall on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
Heartstrings will delight with the beautiful, romantic music of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, paired with Aaron Copland's wistful Appalachian Spring.

The pinnacle of string music, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings will entrance the audience with its romantic melody and waltz-like movements.
The 20-piece string orchestra will also be joined by guest artists on flute, bassoon, clarinet, and acclaimed Brisbane-based pianist, Alex Raineri, to present this spectacular season opener.

Camerata’s signature Wild Card Mystery Guest segment will also return for Heartstrings (artist to be announced). Previous Wild Card Mystery Guests have included The Australian Voices, Katie Noonan, ACPA dancers, and guitarist Anthony Garcia.
Performing without a conductor, Camerata takes full ownership of their music-making, resulting in "amazing musicality, virtuosity and passion...with a genuine connection with the audience” (Brian Grainger, audience member, 2022).
