BROTHER ESPRESSO in BRISBANE CBD HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

This raw high-ceilinged space in a 19th century gasfitters warehouse could hardly be more of a contrast to the artifice of the central shopping area and business district (and a welcome one at that). The industrial concrete floors, rough brick walls, steel and timber seating are warmed by stencil art, pendant lights, tall sash windows, a wall projected menu and the aroma of the excellent house brand coffee.

With its comfort food - ciabatta pizzas, melts on sour dough or turkish, copious salads and a smattering of cakes and muffins – and its out of the way location this is one of the city’s unsung gems.
