Aladdin

Playhouse Qpac

School holidays will be all that more joyful for you and the kids if you head along to see Aladdin, presented by Ballet Theatre of Queensland at the Playhouse, QPAC, from 20 - 23 January, 2016.

The exotic adventures of the young Aladdin - who finds a magic lamp and with the help of a powerful genie rescues the lamp and wins the heart of the beautiful princess - always enthralls young and old. There'll be exotic colourful sets and costumes (designed by Bill Haycock) and plenty of dancing action to keep even those youngsters with the shortest attention spans happy.

Aladdin

Ballet Theatre of Queensland is the state's premier youth dance company, with talented performers aged from 10 to 18 sure to give audiences a show to remember. There'll be two alternate casts performing over the six shows.

Artistic Director Timothy Brown, formerly of the Queensland Ballet and Expressions Dance Company, is the choreographer, with this adaptation drawing on the music and choreography of traditional ballets such as Le Corsair and La Bayadère. It promises to be a magical experience!
