Currimundi Beach Dog

Off Leash

A fabulous free-for-all surf beach, this one kilometre stretch of sand between entries 60 and 62 is off leash for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As such it is the southern Sunshine Coast’s best dog beach with plenty of room to swim, dig and run wild. And a little further north, beyond the patrolled beach is the Wurtulla Currimundi segment, although this part is only off leash between 4pm and 8am.

Note that parking is either at the Gothic parade vicinity (Entrance 60) or the southern Buderim St vicinity (Entrance 62) for in between, with no road access, is the sprawling Currimundi Recreation Centre.

A tad further south on Dicky Beach lies the rusted wreck of the hundred and twenty year old SS Dicky although dogs are not allowed on this stretch, leashed or otherwise.

If hungry after the romp, grab some fantastic fish’n’chips from The Fishmonger’s Wife on Beerburrum St Dicky Beach.
