The QUBE Effect 2022

The search is on for Brisbane’s freshest singers, songwriters, musos and bands, with applications for The QUBE Effect 2022 open from Monday, August 16, 2021.

The innovative, contemporary music program, run by Brisbane City Council, provides 24 local acts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work alongside music industry experts, produce their own music video, and hone their live performance skills.

The program not only aims to kick start the career of emerging talent but 2022 finalists will be in the running to win a range of awesome prizes.

Some of the prizes in 2021 included cash, photography packages, paid live performances, and the opportunity to play a support gig at a major live music venue.

Since its launch in 2015, The QUBE Effect has worked with more than 165 participants and has played a part in launching the music careers of some incredible Brisbane-based artists, including Sycco, Beddy Rays and Hope D, who have all go on to make triple j’s Hottest 100 and perform at some of the country’s largest music festivals.
