Drawn Together
QPAC Online
Celebrate the powerful relationships that exist across generations from the comfort of your living room with Drawn Together, a specially curated, free online event taking place on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:30am.
Kicking off this year's Queensland Seniors Week (August 15-23), QPAC invites people all over Queensland to share a virtual morning tea with friends and family, young and old, to discuss the serious and the fun issues of our times.
The 40-minute free event will feature a hosted morning tea in conversation with esteemed Queenslanders, plus a variety of performances recorded in QPAC’s Concert Hall and venues in Cairns and Townsville.
Conversation guests include Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO and QPAC Elder in Residence, Aunty Colleen Wall, discussing both complicated and light-hearted topics, such as happiness, family heritage and the value of the arts to individuals and to the community.
Conversation will be interspersed by performances by some of Queensland’s leading musicians, artists and companies; western classical and traditional Asian fusion ensemble JADE New World Collective, Babushka Cabaret, The Brat Pack Tappers, Cairns indie-folk artist Greta Stanley, and Townsville musical theatre performer Sarah Murr.
Presented by QPAC and COTA (Council on the Ageing) Queensland, Drawn Together will be streamed online on Saturday. August 15 at 10.30am.
