CEX Charity Art Auction

The Triffid, Newstead

CEX Charity Art Auction is back for its second year and once again Brisbane's creative community have created 28 unique works of art, crafted from a cultural icon steeped in nostalgia - the humble bowling pin.

Presented by Cutting Edge, this fantastic event at the Triffid on Wednesday, October 16, will raise funds and awareness for Youngcare.

Twenty-eight award-winning advertising creatives - including Creative Directors, Art Directors, Animators, VFX Artists and Designers - have transformed a simple bowling pin into a pièce de résistance.

Each one-of-a-kind artwork will go up for auction with all funds raised going to Youngcare, a not-for-profit organisation creating choice and independence for young Australians with high care needs.

Appropriate housing is one of the greatest areas of unmet need for young people with disabilities in Australia. 12,000 young people are left behind in aged care, hospital rooms and rehabilitation centres, simply because there is nowhere else for them to go.

Support this worthy cause by attending the auction and perhaps, bid on a pin. You could be the owner of a fascinating show piece.

Nice to know - Last year, the inaugural CEX Charity Art Auction raised $15,000 for Youngcare.
