The Boy from Oz, the story of the life of Peter Allen, is being brought back to the stage by Savoyards Musical Theatre from September 28 - October 12.

The show, which was last produced by Savoyards in 2009, features some of Peter Allen’s classic hits such as ‘I Go To Rio’, ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ and ‘Tenterfield Saddler’.

Much loved Aussie pop star Peter Allen led an extraordinary life, during which he won an Oscar, sold out performances in Radio City Music Hall, staged a musical flop, lost his partner and battled illness himself. The story of his life turned into smash hit musical The Boy from Oz, which originally premiered in 1998 in Australia before opening on Broadway, New York in 2003 and over the years enjoyed by millions around the world.

With Musical Director, Benjamin Tubb-Hearne at the helm, and starring Shannon Foley as Peter Allen, Vanessa Wainwright as Judy Garland, Natalie Lennox as Liza Minnelli and Jacqui Cuny as Marion Woolnough, the production features a cast of 36 fabulous Brisbane performers and a live orchestra.
