Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2021


For the first time the iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will bloom for an entire month this Spring, creating a spectacular canvas of colour across Toowoomba's major parks and public spaces from September 1-30, 2021. 

In what is shaping up to be the event that all of Queensland needs, the extension from the traditional 10 days will mean more time for everyone to experience the floral-filled parks, parkland entertainment, live music, ferris wheel, foodie experiences, twilight tours and much more.

Taking centre stage all month are the 190,000 flowers in full bloom across Toowoomba's beautiful parks and public spaces, while here are 10 other highlights not to be missed:

Festival of Food and Wine 

An incredible all Queensland music line-up - including Xavier Rudd, Busby Marou, Ball Park Music, and Brian Cadd and Russell Morris - will entertain the crowds at this year’s Festival of Food and Wine at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. They will be joined over the three days by an epic line-up of local singer-songwriters and bands - in fact, more local musicians than ever before.... more

Grand Central Floral Parade

The event that stops – and unites – the city,  also returns in a kaleidoscope of colour! It will be held on Saturday September 18 with a much earlier start time of 10am, allowing crowds to enjoy a full day shopping, sightseeing and adventuring.... more  


The fabulous region-wide food trail shines the light on 36 cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs with floral inspired dishes from $10-$20, as it showcases 60 of the best local makers.  So dig out those stretchy pants and put the diet on hold! ... more

High Cheese at Spring Bluff

New to the program this year, this special cheese-lovers event is held in partnership with Lockyer Valley Regional Council and hosted by famed chef and local produce champion, Alastair McLeod! Don't miss this extraordinary experience, which is happening at the beautiful heritage-listed Spring Bluff station that boasts 150 years of railway history and magnificent gardens... more

Cinema Under the Stars 

The free community event for all ages will be held in the leafy lawns of the Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery, with a line-up of classic movies featured. So pack your picnic (and warm jacket) and gather family or friends ane get set for a magical night under the stars in this historic setting.... more

Talking Pubs Tour

The hugely popular Talking Pubs Tours are back this year and include some of Toowoomba's favourite watering holes, starting with new kid on the block The Brewhouse, followed by dog-friendly local Bar Wunder. Enjoy a main at the Norville Hotel and end with dessert at George Banks rooftop Bistro.... more

The Night Garden

The Night Garden, powered by Ergon Energy and located in a secluded section  Queen's Park's Botanic Garden, will feature stunning light installations and  illuminations of every colour. Open from twilight for an enchanted evening walk every night of the carnival - the perfect end to the day... more

Petals and Pups

As if petal power wasn't enough, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers has its own special dog-friendly program, dedicated to hounds and their humans. The pawsome program features all kinds of dog-friendly activities and 27 off-leash parks, as well as dog-friendly cafes, restaurants and accommodation.... more

Walking Tours

Discover a whole other side to Toowoomba with one of the fascinating Walking Tours, include Laneways and Street Art, The Dark Side, Architecture - Styles & Stories, 150 Years of Rail and Grand Homes & Cottages of the Mort Estate.
