Technicolour Multicultural Festival

The much-loved Technicolour Multicultural Festival returns to Newmarket for its 11th year, with a free, fun-filled, family day out on Saturday, 26 August, 2023.

A vibrant celebration of diversity and unity, the highly anticipated event brings together people from all walks of life, to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make our community thrive.

The Festival promises to be a feast for the senses showcasing a kaleidoscope of music, live cultural performances, art, and cuisine from around the world.

The Technicolour Festival will once again be filled with delicious Food Stalls & Trucks ranging from the ever popular MAKAN stall (serving Satay & Roti) to the TAIPEI STATION (serving fresh Taiwanese fried chicken and calamari).

Festival-goers of all ages will also have plenty of activities to keep them occupied including a petting zoo, bouncy castles, laser tag, lively workshops and so much more!

Beyond entertainment, the festival also offers a platform for meaningful dialogue and interaction. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from different cultural organizations, fostering understanding, appreciation, and friendships across diverse backgrounds.

Need to know - There is an early bird discount of $3.95 until 16th of August for the FunZone Ticket for unlimited rides and activities all day. From 17th onward it will be $5.00. 

The Technicolour Multicultural Festival is presented by the Multicultural Community Centre with the support of the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
