Northshore Sculpture by the River

Hamilton

Northshore Sculpture by the River is a splendid indoor/outdoor exhibition of Brisbane River inspired art, showcasing the work of more than 34 of Queensland's best sculptors.

Located on the riverfront, next door to Eat Street Northshore Markets, the exhibition features a line-up of 26 outdoor sculptures on the River Walk between Eat Street and Northshore Cafe and beach, and 45 indoor sculptures in The Shed, (which is only open until October 11, 2020) an industrial warehouse adjacent to the car park.

Sculpture by the River

The mix of traditional and contemporary sculptures on display feature artist interpretations of the cultural history, flora and fauna of the local Northshore area (both past and present), with a key focus on the Brisbane River.

Sculpture by the River

The exhibition also offers a full program of events including guided sculpture tours and an interactive, family-friendly sculpture hunt. You can even create your own piece of art to contribute to the community outdoor sculpture.

Sculpture by the River

Good to know - Guided sculpture tours of the River Walk are at 2pm on Oct 10, 11, 18 & Nov 15.

Need to know - There is free car parking available onsite in the Eat Street Northshore car park or take a Rivercat to the Northshore ferry terminal, which is just next door.
