Fredericks is a pop-up garden bar located in West Village, the historic Peter's ice-cream factory precinct in West End.
The bar, which takes its name from the original owner of Peter's Ice-cream, Frederick Augustus Bolles Peters, also pays homage to his famous icy creation, serving up Frosty Fruits spritz.
Fredericks' other summery drinks include cucumber and aperol spritz as well as cocktails like Planters Punch, Lemon Drop and Mint Julep.
Meanwhile the carefully curated wine list is first class, featuring predominantly boutique Australian wines together with a handful of French, Italian and NZ drops. There's also a small selection of Queensland and Victorian craft beers on tap and a choice of house or premium spirits.
Food-wise, Fredericks keeps it simple yet top notch with delectable bar snacks such as manchego croquettes with mojo verde, crispy squid with soy and baby gems or duck fat potatoes with saffron aioli; cheese oe cheese and salumi plates; and gourmet 'sandwiches' with fillings of gruyere and greens or spaghetti bolognese.
Nice to know - Fredericks bar customers can also partake in food from the Garden Pantry outlets Mr Bunz and Cheeky Poke.
