Perfect for families who love their creature comforts but like to get active amongst the great outdoors, the accommodation ranges from well-appointed 2, 3 and 4-bedroom family lodges (all recently refurbished), to tastefully renovated rooms within the Hillside Lodges with vistas of expansive green fields, lakes and forested hills.

Thunderbird Park has a fantastic range of activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including Treetop Challenge Adventure Park - Australia's highest ropes and zipline park, featuring 3 epic high ropes adventures, a mega zipline Canyon Flyer, where you can fly at 70km/h, suspended 70m above ground, and a special Junior Flyer zipline course for 3 to 7 year olds.

For something less adrenaline-pumping but just as much fun, there's also the opportunity to fossick for hidden treasure at the world famous Thunder Egg and Crystal Mine. You can also treat the family to a mini-golf challenge at Adventure Mini Golf or a Laser Skirmish battle in the rainforest.

The Cedar Creek region of Tamborine Mountain is also renowned for its cascading rock swimming pools which run through Thunderbird Park and these are easily accessed from Cedar Creek Lodges, a short distance away.

The Rainforest Restaurant & Lounge Bar offers a top-notch yet highly affordable foodie's menu suited to families, in a beautiful rainforest setting.
