Cream Gables B & B

New Farm

This warm stylish Queenslander home away from home is ideal for a small group, couple or single traveller as well as a longer stayer. Divided into four spacious suites, the three downstairs are for short term B&B guests while upstairs has both a separate entrance and extra sitting room with microwave and basic food preparation facilities.

Charming host Anne is more than helpful and knowledgeable about the area, even supplying guests with Go Cards to use on public transport during their stay.

Breakfast is served upstairs on the back deck overlooking the tropical garden and plunge pool, which guests have the run of. Other amenities include a small library of books, a communal kitchenette downstairs and free wireless access.

Best of all is the location - a short walk to a small cluster of bars, restaurants, cafes, a French patisserie, the lovely Wilsons Outlook and a longer stroll to New Farm Park and arts hub the Brisbane Powerhouse. Right around the corner are a good IGA supermarket that sells gourmet heat-up meals and buses to the city.

Meantime car-encumbered guests needn’t fret – there’s the option of a garage and off-street parking to leave the car and get walking.
