Yesterday's Thrift Shop

If a department store and an op shop had a baby, Yesterday's Thrift Shop would be it – a multi-roomed emporium of dirt cheap, retro buys, beautifully laid out in an old worker's cottage.

Despite the labyrinth of rooms, this shop has been wonderfully set up with corners and rooms devoted to specific genders and lifestyle needs, making for easy browsing - and at what would have to be the lowest prices around.

Women's preloved apparel includes seasonal clothes, formal dresses, swimwear, shoes, fashion accessories and jewellery - and it's not uncommon to find gorgeous retro pieces on offer.

The men's fashion is all well sorted, making it easy to browse through the range in search of that perfect vintage find.

Also near here is where there's an entire room dedicated to the littlies in your life - think preloved kids clothes and shoes, accessories, kids books and toys, puzzles, games, and sometimes even furniture.

Just off the men's apparel, you'll find a room for kitchenware with shelves and shelves of crockery, glassware, vintage kitchen items and more.

Head in the other direction - passed the women's shoes and through a doorway and down a short corridor is where the selection books, DVDs and vintage records can be found.

And, across the hallway, is the discount room that is always worth checking out for an absolute bargain.

PLUS... (yes, there's more!) if you're looking for bed linen, doona covers, curtains and fabric, not to mention travel bags and some smaller pieces of furniture at times ... yes, you guessed it! There's a room for that, too.

Nice to know - All proceeds of the shop are used for the support of brain-injured children.

Nice to know - Street parking nearby is free, and there is also a small car park at the rear, with entry via Beck Street.

Need to know - Yesterday's Thrift Shop also has outlets in Mitchelton, West End, Annerley and Indooroopilly. Click the link below for more details.
